I’ll try to make this short and sweet. I am an Instructional Technologist, and I have shifted from the K-12 arena to one in Higher Education. It has been a challenging transition but has taught me a lot. Before that, I taught 4th grade — mainly Science, Math, and ELA. I am a teacher at heart, and I love to learn. More specifically, I love to learn about learning — how it happens, why we do it, and what drives us to continue.
If I could, I would spend all day researching what drives learning and how it meshes with the prevailing winds that are currently moving the educational climate in this country and around the world. Educational technology interests me insofar as I believe it to be a catalyst for learning but not the end-all-be-all of learning or education.
With this blog, I hope to showcase things I learn about learning, technology, education, and anything that may be a combination thereof. It might be scattered sometimes at first glance, but then, so is learning.
